The Betmar community provides an amazing variety of clubs and activities which offer the opportunity to stay connected with friends and make new ones.  Some clubs are free to join while others are sustained through annual dues and fund-raisers.

Most clubs are for residents only, with bingo and dance club functions open to the public. Several clubs accept guests. See the individual club page for specific information.

Aquatic Center - Swim Club

Beginners Art Group

• Instruction in basic acrylic

• techniques and individual attention is provided by the instructor. Every week a demonstration painting is completed as students follow along.

Carport Concerts

• Monthly concerts in carports across Betmar hosting a variety of professional, local musicians from Tampa Bay and Central Florida.

Chorus

• Group singing for personal enjoyment as well as entertaining at several major Betmar functions

Computer Technology Club

• A club for residents interested in learning and/or sharing knowledge about computers, tablets, cell phones and other electronic devices.

Creative Writers

• You don’t need to be a writer to join in the fun and fellowship of our group. You just need a desire to leave stories for your children and grandchildren; maybe write your own memoirs and special stories. Perhaps you would like to submit one for publication. We welcome you.

Dance Club

• The Dance Club sponsors weekly Saturday night dances with live music, weekly dance classes which include line dance, clogging,  and assorted fun dances and special events. It's a fun way to exercise and socialize.

Dart Club

• Organized dart league for fun and sportsmanship. Fun darts year round; League darts weekly in season.

Dog Park

• Betmars own exclusive Dog Play area.

Game Club

• Game club members gather weekly to enjoy many types of table games, outdoor games,  card games or other.   Surely this group will have one game or another everyone will enjoy.

Garden Club

• For those with, or who want to have, green thumbs! These club members indulge their passion for growing while helping to maintain the beauty of Betmar through garden and landscape flourishes!

Golf Club

• For residents who want to utilize the golf courses and promote its upkeep.

Hobby Club

• Enjoy a craft or hobby while socializing with friends and meeting new people. This club includes many hobby interests. Bring your ideas!

Hospitality Club

• This group rolls out the welcome wagon to new residents! We sponsor special events and extend actions of support to our neighbors and friends.

Kitchen Band

• The kitchen band is a group of people who get together and sing songs and play kazoo's for residents of local nursing home facilities!  We are a no cost club and encourage anyone who would like to join us to come on over to check us out!  If you play an instrument, that's great but if you don't,  no problem!  Anyone can kazoo!  New kazoo's are provided! The smile on the residents faces is amazing  and many of them like to sing along!

Library

• A lending library for residents. Books from the latest Bestsellers to the classics, and much more!

Music Entertainment Club

• For residents to participate in and enjoy music and entertainment of all kinds. There are many events and opportunities to perform.

Nurses and Allied Health Group

• Betmar has a very active group of retired nurses and Health Workers who are always willing to help a resident in need.

Shuffleboard Club

• For residents who wish to use the Betmar Shuffleboard facility for fun or competition.  The Shuffle Club also oversees the metal recycling program at Betmar

Tennis/Pickleball Club

• We promote the use of the tennis/pickleball facilities. We currently have 1 tennis court and 8 pickleball courts. We have daily open play and a weekly ladder league.
