Sandy Bedingfield and I (Bonnie Coutz) got together and thought it would be a terrific opportunity for Betmar to have a travel group. Our mission is to creature adventures and turn them into lasting memories.

On April 1, 2023 we did our first trip. It was the Thorn; it told the epic story of God’s love and spiritual battle for all humanity. A very moving production.

Since April of 2023 we have experienced many great Broadway productions, day cruises, day trips, including Sandy’s, always fun Mystery Trips. We have also had extended adventures, to name a few; The Ark Encounter in Kentucky, Branson Missouri, Savannah Georgia, and a Western Caribbean Cruise.

This is Sandy and my passion to create these adventures for us as seniors.

My father was looking forward to retirement and just before his retirement he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was in an in-home hospice program. One night it was just him and I asked him, Dad, what do you think of all this? His reply is something I will never forget. “What do I think? You work your whole damn life to do the things you want to do, then something like this hits you.

Let’s have those adventures and explore them and do it while we can.

Sylvia
Thursday, April 3, 2025 ~ $90 ~ Fletcher Early Bird Theater
Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg’s career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate’s career, as a public-school English teacher, is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park, or that has found him, bearing only the name “Sylvia” on her name tag. A street-smart mixture of Lab and Poodle, Sylvia becomes a major cause of disagreement between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. And Sylvia thinks Kate just doesn’t understand the relationship between man and dog. A modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog.

“Dramatic literature is stuffed with memorable love scenes, but none is as immediately delicious and dizzy as the one that  dizzy as the one that begins the redeeming affair in A.R. Gurney’s new comedy, SYLVIA…” —NY Times.
“I can only call it one of the most involving, beautiful, funny, touching and profound plays I have ever seen…” —NY Daily News.

“Gurney’s mad comedy is the most endearing good time to trot down the pike in many a moon. Howlingly funny…” —Backstage.
