If you are a registered Floridian Republican, please come in to vote-and see me. I’m sure it will be a slow day for us!! Would also keep an eye out for our middle son Ken and our granddaughter Lydia who will be visiting us!  A great time for Daddy and Daughter to visit Grandpa Mac and Grandma Michelle-love it!!  Have a great week!

I know some of you wanted to speak today but I have to limit it to the first Tuesday of each Month. It is important for me to respect the time of those attending. If you would like an announcement made, please send it to activities@bbetmar.org by 7:00 PM Monday night.

VOLUNTEER SHOUT OUT

Photo #103-Toni Kendall-Volunteer of the Week
  • This person is well known as the “Energizer Bunny to many people.  She literally keeps going and never stops.
  • She may be tiny but she is mighty.
  • She loves old country music and goes to several venues to listen to her favorites and dance with the love of her life.  She’s well known for her two-step.
  • Whenever there is a need, she willingly answers the call.
  • She is the famous “tray lady” for the Monday/Tuesday Shuffle Lunches, often filling in if needed for the Thursday/Friday lunches.  She can easily put in her 10,000 steps sweeping around the clubhouse collecting trays and washing down the tables before and after the event.
  • She is a valued member of the Betmar Hospitality Club.  She shows up with her willing smile ready to get to work.
  • She volunteers for Coffee Hour as the “Donut Lady.”
  • She works the Annual What Not Christmas Sale as a Department Head.  And, has worked the Annual What Not Sale for several years, covering the knives and utensil area with expertise.
  • Additionally, in the past, she volunteered sorting cookies for the Aquatic Club Cookie Sales and helped out at the BVC events,
  • She is an exemplary volunteer who takes charge of the position given to her and never leaves until her job is done.  She is the one we call on when we need help.
  • This lady loves her angels, and she is an angel to all who know her.”

So, who is this well-loved, spunky little person – our own Toni Kendall!

and sharing your power to save lives!

WOW WOW WOW !!!!! What a drive you all had….

We were able to collect 20 units of blood. Each blood donation can save up to

three lives so that means that 60 patients will benefit blood

donations from the lifesaving efforts of blood donors

Mark your calendar, next  blood drive: May 7th 2024

It has just come to our attention that the US Post Office has made a major change to Change Of Address procedures.  PRIOR to returning North, it is our suggestion, residents physically visit the PO at 38032 Postal Drive to make their change of address request.  At that time, they will be required to present physical identification as part of the process.

Additional questions should be directed directly to the USPS PRIOR to leaving for the summer. Strongly not recommended:

putting change of address form in the mail

sending a representative in their stead to complete process

While Postal Authority wishes we could be a supportive alternative to this process, this is a Federal process and must be completed at the appropriate level.  Postal Authority hopes these suggestions make your transition seamless. Safe travels! Postal Authority
