Good morning all swim club members. I received notification late yesterday afternoon that our main water pump motor for the small pool was not turning back on after routine maintenance.
After an inspection of the system and speaking with Scott and our pool tech we will be ordering a new motor for our pump.
The small pool will be closed until repairs are complete.

Good evening to all swim club members. It was nice to see our membership enjoying the pools and small spa this weekend.
The large pool will close on Tuesday Feb. 21st for repairs to the large spa at 9 am. Once repairs are completed we will open the pool for membership use.
Our 2023-2024 budget has been approved by the swim and Betmar Board and will be presented to the membership at our March meetings.
We are still awaiting final approval of the permit for our new storage shed.
More info on Picnic at the Pool and our first “It’s your Choice” BBQ will be available at coffee on Tuesday for the Month of March.

The Swim Club Board continues the discussion regarding the times for Water Aerobics classes.
Currently the times listed in the Board of Directors Guidelines (located in large pool ladies washroom) are Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
- October through January and April through May are 10:30 – 11:30 AM
- February through March are 2:00 – 3:00 PM
- June through September are 9:00 – 10:00 AM
Member input is invited at the Swim Club Board Meeting on Thursday, January 12. A final resolution will be determined at that time.Next Picnic at the Pool is on February 13th from 11:30 – 12:30
The number of tickets for the “Picnic at the Pool” are limited but any Betmar resident and their guest(s) may purchase a ticket. Ticket holders may use the pools on the day of the Picnic even if they are not a member.
Tickets are available in the Betmar Office or from Sue Flynn.

The next Picnic at the Pool will be on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:30am – 12:30pm
Hamburger/Hot Dog, Chips, Dessert, Bottle of Water
$5.00 per ticket. Must have a ticket to receive lunch.
Tickets are on sale beginning today at the Betmar Office or you may purchase a ticket by contacting Sue Flynn at 813-469-4653 or 36721 Strand Dr.
Tickets will also be available each Tuesday during coffee hour.

Good evening all. I’ll start with the good news. The leak inspection team found no major leaks in the large pool today. One of our return drains on the collar of the pool needs attention and there’s a settling of the pool issue in the corner of the pool. The costs of repairs around $2200.00 dollars.
Because of our efforts in the small pool last month, our water bill for September was $600.00+ dollars less than last month.
On another positive note we finally have identified the problems with the spa in the fun pool. I’ll review the estimate tomorrow and will have more to report later.
We have the dolphin cleaning the large pool tonite and hopefully most of the debris will be taken care of.
Pools open tomorrow at 7:00am for membership use, Have a good nite all.
